Birth — finding confidence and flow

Birth is intense, mystical and deeply personal — and no woman needs to walk into it alone.

My role is to help you prepare your body, explore what feels supportive, and build confidence through real, practical experience.

You may not always feel prepared or ready, and that’s okay.  What matters is building familiarity, confidence and support, trust in your body and learn simple tools you can turn to. In our work together, we focus on what you can actually influence: breathing, positions, your comfort, your partner’s role, and the way you cooperate with your body. Through hands-on, practice-based sessions, you will explore labor positions, breathing patterns, relaxation techniques and partner support – giving your body experiences to rely on when the moment comes.

Through gentle, safe movement, posture work and breathing techniques, you’ll learn how to release tension, support your body and move with confidence.

When needed, we address pain, pelvic discomfort, fatigue or specific symptoms with personalized physiotherapy treatment.

What birth preparation looks like

Birth preparation is available through individual or couples’ sessions. Together we explore:

  • Pelvic and baby positioning to support labor
  • Comfortable, effective labor positions – alone or with your partner
  • Breathing techniques for labor and delivery
  • Relaxation tools to regulate your nervous system
  • Partner support techniques (massage, counterpressure, grounding touch)
  • Delivery positions and ways to work with contractions
  • Natural birth questions and guidance on common hospital interventions
  • Tools to navigate anxiety, expectations or cultural differences within the couple

These sessions are mother-centered and experiential.
We don’t just talk about positions. We try them, feel them, adjust them.
A posture your nervous system already knows is much easier to access during birth.

How Sessions Work…

Birth Preparation

Birth preparation can be built in into regular weekly physical therapy sessions. A longer stand-alone session is also possible. There is always a possibility for your partner to come with you. I highly suggest to do one or more sessions together but it is always up to you. We find the most accessible and supportive way which can work for you.
