Becoming a mother is much more than getting pregnant or giving birth.
It is a life altering journey. It changes our body, mind and soul on a deep level. Every time.
In the past 11 years, I have supported mothers physically, mentally and emotionally on this journey, to find their truth during birth and motherhood.
Perinatal Wonderland Roadmap:
Premester — preparation for natural conception and support during fertility treatments
Preparing the body for pregnancy: managing and treating already existing conditions or pain. Activating pelvic floor muscles. Relaxation.
Pregnancy — staying fit and comfortable in the body
Prenatal physiotherapy: how to move safely and adapt week by week, prenatal gymnastics, treating discomfort or pain if needed, correct posture, breathing, relaxation, stretching, pelvic floor activation, ergonomic positions for sitting and sleeping.
Couples’ sessions during pregnancy: how to relax, massage, help, listen and comfort the new mom-to-be, how to bond with the baby, finding the new dynamic in the relationship — together.
Birth — personalized preparation for birth
Focusing on practical and effective labor positions, delivery positions, how to find confidence in our body, how the partner can support, massage techniques, breathing techniques. Education and information about the normal course of birth and medical interventions for a conscious and free decision.
What to do right after delivery, while in hospital and in the first six weeks at home.
Fourth trimester —getting back in shape safely step by step, healing, and becoming a new mother
Postnatal physiotherapy: focusing on rehabilitation of the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor muscles, releasing tensions from the back, neck and shoulders; finding a new, improved posture; closing abdominal separation (diastasis recti), treating pain if needed, preparing for returning to pre-pregnancy routine.
Loss — miscarriage, stillbirth.
The support along the journey happens in the same framework: consultation and regular sessions.
A consultation is a longer session where you can tell your story (problem or goals), ask your questions.
I do an assessment, an examination, I explain you everything, and I walk you through the options or outline a treatment plan.
Consultation can be standalone or can be an initiation to the regular sessions.
I can confidently say that one single consultation session brings clarity and gives you practical answers about where to start.

I am an INAMI/RIZIV-certified physical therapist, which means you can get partially reimbursed depending on your health insurance for prescribed perinatal physiotherapy. Please mind that not all sessions are subject to health insurance reimbursement. Don’t hesitate to ask me.
Online sessions are via secured Zoom video call and can be recorded for your convenience.
